Chiropractor:

A Chiropractor is a musculoskeletal specialist trained to diagnose and treat many conditions associated with bones, joints, muscles, tendons and nerves. Using orthopedic and neurological assessment, a chiropractor will diagnose your condition, refer a patient out for imaging if required and treat your conditions using manual therapy, manipulations, physical therapy modalities and exercise rehabilitation programs.

Sports Chiropractor:

A Sports Chiropractor must complete a post-graduate Sports Fellowship Program offered through the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences. This is a 4 year intensive program which requires the resident to complete courses in sports psychology, sports nutrition, sports first responder, advanced imaging, high performance evaluation and testing, and sports injury management and diagnosis. The fellowship also requires 1000 hours of clinical placements and field work, 100 hours of hospital rounds, four book reviews, and a publishable quality thesis.


Massage Therapy

A Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is educated to assess and treat soft tissues and joints of the body to prevent dysfunction, injury, pain and physical disorders of the soft tissue. RMT’s are effective in treating a wide range of conditions including as migraine headaches, tendonitis, arthritis, osteoporosis, and fibromyalgia.

Dr. Dusten Dalanyi completed his undergraduate education at the University of Windsor in Ontario where he attained a Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree (Honours Kinesiology – Movement Science), with a minor in Psychology in 2019. Upon completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Dusten went on to attend Logan University in Missouri, USA and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic with cum laude.

Dr. Dusten takes a special interest in working with golfers and is certified in Titleist Performance Institution (TPI). In addition, he is trained in Active Release Technique (ART), and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA).

Dr. Dusten grew up playing several sports, and like many others, found success through chiropractic care for his sport related injuries. This inspired him to pursue a career in chiropractic, as a way of helping others who may share a similar experience. Kevin is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario Masters of Physical Therapy program. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Queen’s University. Kevin competed in Track and Field during his time at Queens where was a 2-time Academic All-Canadian and served as an assistant coach during his final two years.

He spent the last year completing a Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic providing physiotherapy and sports coverage to the varsity athletes of the University’s 12 varsity teams including the school’s football, hockey, squash, and other varsity club teams. Stephanie is a FCAMPT Certified Physiotherapist. FCAMPT physiotherapists are Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy that have completed post-graduate education and attained internationally recognized qualifications in hands-on therapy.

Stephanie obtained her Bachelor’s of Human Kinetics and her Master’s of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia. She also holds her Acupuncture Certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and integrates it into her rehabilitation programs.

During her time at UBC she played for and captained the UBC Varsity Women’s Soccer Team which included a CIS National Championship in 2006. Stephanie has experience with orthopedics as well as a return to work programs. She has a very strong exercise background with experience as a personal trainer working with a large variety of clientele out of a fitness center in Richmond. Stephanie continues to add to her knowledge base by attending seminars and courses such as advances in clinical sports medicine, advanced shoulder rehabilitation, hip and knee rehab, acupuncture, and K-Taping.
